I've lived in America for a long time. I've visited many places with Arabic knafeh shops, and they all made knafeh that was very different from the well-known Jordanian taste. My experience with this product was the best I've ever had in terms of taste. It's very similar to the familiar smooth knafeh. Also, the customer service, shipping, and delivery times were excellent. Honestly, I recommend this knafeh to anyone who wants to taste authentic knafeh.
I made sugar syrup on the side first. I used a Knafeh pan that I greased up with some melted butter and pressed a layer of the Knafeh on top. Then I shredded some fresh Mozzarella on top and padded it dry with a paper towel. I put it on the stove and covered it with an oversized lid to trap moisture inside until the mozzarella melted, then removed the lid once I was happy with the cheese melt level. Make sure to leave some gap where you can see the crust to know if it is done. It usually only needs 6-10 minutes. I take it off the heat when the edge starts to shift from gold brown to dark brown. I then flip it on a plate, put on some sugar syrup, and enjoy 😋 Tip: sometimes I microwave the mozzarella for 10-15 seconds to warm it up a bit if it just came out of the fridge.
